Why we’re following Figure
Figure develops humanoid robots and the AI systems that control them. Its official news covers Figure 03, the Helix programme and manufacturing development. These strands matter together: capable hardware needs dependable behaviour, and useful robots need a path beyond prototypes.
Three developments to understand
Embodied intelligence
Figure’s Helix research explores how robots can connect perception and instructions with physical actions. A published demonstration is evidence of a particular task or setting; it should not be read as a guarantee of performance in every home or workplace.
A manufacturing pathway
Figure introduced BotQ as a manufacturing facility intended to support higher-volume robot production. Manufacturing announcements describe a developer’s plans and progress, not an allocation of stock for Australia.
Real-world deployment
Figure publishes updates about industrial use and its robot development. For future buyers, the key questions are which tasks are supported, under what conditions and with what operational supervision.
What this means for Australia
Humanoi is monitoring Figure as part of our preparation for future humanoid imports and sales. We have no agreement with Figure and cannot confirm Australian supply, pricing, delivery dates or local support for its robots.
Questions before any future purchase
- Is this exact model authorised and supported for the intended Australian use?
- Which tasks are documented, and which are still research goals?
- What are the charging, connectivity, training and maintenance requirements?
- Who provides updates, parts, warranty service and ongoing support?

Independent. Upfront. Australian focused. Humanoi has no current affiliation, partnership, authorised dealership or distribution agreement with Figure, Tesla or any other manufacturer mentioned. Brand names identify developments we follow, not products we are authorised to sell.
